Gray Collegiate Academy was organized as a corporation in the State of South Carolina in 2013 and has recently received approval from the State Department of Education to operate a Charter High School in West Columbia, SC commencing in July 2014.  The first school year of operation will be the 2014/2015 year which begins on July 1, 2014 and ends on June 30, 2015.
 
 The school property will be developed by a national charter school real estate developer located in Utah who is unrelated to the applicant.  The property will be leased by the school from the developer over the term of the Charter agreement of 10 years or longer.  The School will be managed by a professional charter school management company, Pinnacle Charter School Management Group located in southwest Florida.  The school will be governed by an independent board as required by State law and will be subject to the requirements of the Charter with the State of South Carolina Charter School District.
